Cheyenne Mountain Junior High School serves students in Grades 7 and 8, and is nestled at the base of Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our collective commitment is to the cognitive and social development of your adolescent child and to provide a safe learning environment anchored in positive relationships and self-advocacy.
National Junior Honor Society is a service driven organization in which 8th graders with a GPA of 3.7 or higher can participate. The pillars of NJHS are scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Students in NJHS need to be self-starters who are willing and able to plan and execute service projects to benefit the community as a whole. We meet every other Tuesday at 2:45 in room 10. For fall semester, 8th graders who are new to the district can apply to participate in NJHS providing their 7th grade GPA was 3.7 or higher or they can demonstrate that they participated in NJHS at their previous school. In the spring semester, 7th graders can complete an application to participate in NJHS during their 8th grade year. Upcoming meeting dates are 9/30, 10/14, 11/4, 11/18, 12/9, and 1/13. For questions regarding NJHS, contact Mary Duffy or Kathleen Kane who are the club sponsors.
