The CMJH Harvest of Love Food Drive is taking place November 7-16.  Student Council sponsors a contest among ACCESS classes in order to increase participation.  The first place class will receive a pizza party during ACCESS.  2nd place class gets sodas and donuts and 3rd place class may choose sodas or donuts.

Every year, we’re always asked “What does Care and Share really need?” The answer is protein. This includes nonperishable items like black beans, pinto beans, peanut butter, and canned meat like chicken or tuna. Donations involving protein would be greatly appreciated!  Other items that are desired: - Cereal - Soup - Canned Fruit - Boxed or Canned Meals. We also take cash. In fact, for every $1 donated Care and Share can purchase 10 lbs of food, which is the equivalent of 8 meals.

The next FAN event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd at the CMHS auditorium and is titled Teen Drug Use in the Community.  For more information, please click HERE

This year, Halloween falls on a Monday, so we will be doing Halloween on the 31st.  Students are allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to school and to the dance, but we do have a few parameters around what is allowed.  We do not allow students to bring any part of a costume that could make a mess (fake blood, slime, liquids, etc.), we do not allow students to bring facsimiles of any kind of weapon, except for allowing hats, all costumes must meet our regular dress code (dresses must be to the knees, shorts cannot be any shorter than a four finger width above the knee, sleeves are required, no undergarments showing, etc.), and students must be able to function throughout the school day.  At CMJH, we love to enjoy Halloween, but we also want the day to be productive.  This year, we will also have a Halloween dance from 2:40-4:00, and all the above costume rules apply.
