Upcoming Student Council Elections

Attention all 7th and 8th graders who are interested in running for Student Council for the 2014-15 school year!!  There will be a brief informational meeting in Ms. Bales' room (rm. 204) on April 21st at 2:45.  All petitions will be due to Ms. Bales or Ms. Gorab by 2:45 on Monday, April 28th.  Students interested in running for officer positions will have their campaign speech filmed and aired on T-Bird TV April 29th-May 2nd.  Elections will be during ACCESS on Wednesday, May 7th.  The initial meeting is mandatory and the petition date of 4/28 is VERY firm, so if there are conflicts with either of these dates, students MUST contact Ms. Bales or Ms. Gorab prior to the date.

Colorado Measures of Academic Success Assessments

The new CMAS testing will be on April 22nd for 8th graders and April 23rd for 7th graders.  These assessments are taken online and require every student to be at a computer.  Because we do not have a 1:1 ratio for students and machines, we will be required to test the 8th graders on one day and the 7th graders on the next day.  Unfortunately, when we are testing a grade level, the other will not be able to attend school.  Additionally, the school day will be shortened somewhat.  Please click HERE for the schedule for the two testing days.
